Multiple Engine and Transmission Options

The 2025 Silverado 1500 has four main engine options: a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, a TurboMax engine, and a 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel engine. It also has three transmission options: an 8-speed automatic transmission, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision shift and front bucket seats.

However, some of these engine and transmission options are standard on some of the Silverado 1500’s trim levels, while some are only available on certain trim levels but standard on others.

Trailering Technology Features

The Silverado has the power and performance capabilities to pull trailers that weigh thousands of pounds, but how can you tell if it’s doing so safely? That’s where the Silverado’s trailering features come in. These features include up to 14 available camera views that let you know what your trailer looks like on the road as your Silverado tows it. There are also trailering safety features, such as the Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, which enables side-mirror alerts when a vehicle is behind your trailer. The Silverado has an available trailering app too, where you can create a profile to monitor your truck’s trailering performance.
